OVERVIEW:

Dan Gamel's Health and Racquet Club provides members with a wide variety of programs to help meet their specific and individual goals. We understand that helping people reach their goals is a key ingredient to a healthier lifestyle. In order to provide members with the quality service that they deserve, our fitness professionals (personal trainers) are required to not only continually educate themselves to maintain their certifications, but they must also fulfill in-house educational requirements. With today's technology and continuing research in the field of fitness, it is very easy to get left behind with old information. With our in-house educational system, we endeavor to stay on the cutting edge of this new information in order to provide effective guidance to our members.

Our Training Packages Include:

  • Fitness evaluation and basic nutrition information
  • Diet analysis and nutritional guidelines
  • Body Fat Analysis
  • Instruction on the proper use of cardiovascular & strength equipment
  • Information describing how and when to change your fitness program to achieve the most results
  • Education on the importance of warming up, stretching, and cooling down

Welcome to one of the most comprehensive and innovative aerobic programs in the central valley. Dan Gamel's Health and Racquet Club provides members with classes for all fitness levels and abilities. Our exciting program includes state-of-the-art equipment and class formats. All instructors are certified and will personally assist you during class. Here are some of our newest and most innovate classes:

Kickboxing: Hit that bag, throw some punches, and shuffle across the room in this high intensity class that uses traditional boxing equipment and moves with a little extra flair. Throw in a little rope-jumping and you have a great built-in cross-training class.

aqua2.jpg (6591 bytes)Aqua Classes: These classes offers an ultimate full-body workout that is gentle on the joints but is designed for the beginner to the advanced student. Our Aqua Classes are held throughout the year in either our heated indoor pool or our outdoor pool.

 

Challenge Your Fitness Classes: Our "Challenge Your Fitness" events are seasonal fitness adventures that members can sign up to take. Our "Fitness Challenges" are designed to encourage you to try a new activity. We prepare participants through a series of classes for 8-10 weeks prior to the Challenge. Classes are run in a progressive format that intensifies as you get closer to your goal. Our previous adventures includes: a hike to Half Dome, white water rafting, cross country skiing and we will soon tackle snow shoeing and basic rock climbing. Don't get left out of all the fun ..... sign up to the next challenge today!

Circuit Training: Strength training circuit classes are offered in the weight room. Our instructor will take you through a series of 12 different machines using light weights and timed intervals. This is a great way to get aquatinted with the weight room and put fun into your fitness program.

*Other classes available are Reebok Step, Low Impact and Stylized Low Impact, Body Sculpting, Spinning, Fitball Aerobics (resist-a-ball) and Yoga.

SENIOR PROGRAMS:

The following classes are listed progressively from beginner to advanced:

Memory Recall: Requirements- Must be able to go up and down stairs and get down and up from the floor. Emphasis in this class is to help increase mobility, flexibility, balance and strength while sitting in a chair. Some classes will take place in the weight room with supervision. Let this class help you to live a more independent life.

If you need a little more challenge in your workout give one of the following classes a try…

Aqua classes: This class offers an ultimate full-body workout that is gentle on the joints but is designed for the beginner to the advanced student. Our Aqua Classes are held throughout the year in either our heated indoor pool or our outdoor pool.

Firm & Tone: A one-hour class using light hand weights to help keep you toned. All exercises are based on functional movements and strengthens muscles that we use on a daily basis.

Forever Young: Move your body to the musical beat of the oldies but goodies. This is a low impact class will move you around the aerobic floor for a cardiovascular workout. This is a great way to feel "Forever Young".

Other Senior Programs Include: Body Walk, Walk and Circuit, Circuit Training, Cycling, Outdoor Walking Track and Racquet Sports.

Did you know that 81% of worksites now offer at least one health promotion activity? Dan Gamel's Health and Racquet Club is proud to be the Club of choice for Fresno and Clovis employer groups. Ask how we can assist your group with an on-site Health Fair or other wellness programs.

Dan Gamel's Health and Racquet Club offers special membership programs for corporate groups to help promote wellness and fitness in the workplace.

Employee Initial Evaluation - Once your company joins, we make appointments with each employee to create the most comprehensive, educational, beginning fitness program anywhere. The sessions help employees become familiar with all of the equipment in the club and will ensure that they find appropriate workout levels.

On-Site Health Fairs - Let us host a free Health Fair at your business. The Club will provide free body fat analysis, blood pressure check, head and neck massage, free trial memberships, and delicious low fat treats from our Club Café!

Networking Opportunities - Because so many of our members are business owners and professionals in the community, the Club offers a leisurely opportunity for members to meet and become acquainted.

Get Active For Your Next Staff Meeting! - Our Executive Board Room, located on the second floor of the Club, is a great location for staff and management meetings.  Complete catering can be provided by our Club Café.

Meetings at the Club provide your staff a change of pace and give everyone an opportunity to get active and build team spirit.

Party & Meeting Facilities - Members are invited to use the facilities for meetings, parties and other social, functions. A conference room is available for private meetings, and the Club and Courtyard Cafes are available for parties. Complete catering is available.

Add a half-hour cardio-circuit workout with a trainer before your morning meeting. We'll cater breakfast to get your team started for the day.

Employee Fitness Awareness Day. We'll host your staff for a full day of activities and fun. We suggest a motivating exercise seminar followed by a game of indoor or outdoor volleyball. This is a popular way to kick off a corporate membership.

Employee Appreciation Day. Why settle for another usual company picnic when you can host a private poolside company barbecue at the Club? It's a great family environment with something for everyone - tennis, basketball, racquetball, even a play area for the young ones.
